The Arizona Scorpions and Junior Hoops of America are working closely together on multiple projects designed to inform, educate and promote basketball and its positive community influence throughout Arizona.
Junior Hoops of America is a leading youth basketball social media news, content and digital services platform. They create and highlight programs, promote players & events and partner with local organizations that develop student-athletes into competitive basketball players and good citizens. The organization deploys a strong network of relationships in the corporate, intercollegiate, high school, junior high school and grassroots basketball communities in order to help make a positive difference in the lives of the youth in the community.
The Arizona Scorpions are committed to participating with Phoenix non-profits to make a difference in our communities. One of our programs is called "The 13th Man". For each home game we will have a religious leader sit on the bench and lead our team in a prayer before and after our games. We will also offer special group rates to the respective congregation. The ABA has established the “Bullies are Cowards” program to give students the intervention skills necessary to confront bullying proactively through shared experiences. The ABA goal is to present student awareness sessions to aid schools in conflict resolution and decrease bullying incidences.
